Practice Leadership
Lorraine Fern, LCSW
Clinical Director
My style of leadership and management is similar to my style in therapy: I ask individuals to come as they are, as whole people, and ask them to partner with me in improving areas of growth, and building on natural strengths.
A true Mainer, I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master's Degrees in Social Work at the University of Southern Maine, and have practiced at all levels (individual, community, and policy; clinical and non-clinical) since 2013. My experience includes work with children and families in foster care, children and adults experiencing mental health crises, folks experiencing homelessness, and aging adults in residential medical care. I was published in 2015 for research, program design and group facilitation of an LGBTQ+ specific domestic violence prevention program. I began private practice in 2020, with a goal to always strive to work from a culturally-conscious, trauma-informed lens. I enjoy supporting clients directly, and supporting our therapists through this same philosophy.
In all positions I’ve held since earning my Master’s, I’ve been fortunate to supervise and learn from both clinical and non-clinical colleagues. Clients and therapists alike, we’re happy to have you join us.
